Cookie Policy
Effective Date: August 27, 2026
Last Updated: August 27, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Onyx Interactive Network (“ONI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with ONI’s websites, billing portal, hosting control systems, dashboards, and other online products or services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy should be read together with ONI’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files or pieces of information stored by a website through your browser. They can help a website recognize a browser or device, maintain a secure session, remember a preference, prevent abuse, or understand whether a feature is functioning correctly.
Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, software development kits, pixels, tags, device or session identifiers, and other technologies that store information on or retrieve information from a browser or device. References to “cookies” in this Policy include these similar technologies where appropriate.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to cookies and similar technologies used through ONI-controlled online Services, including:
- https://www.onyxinteractive.org;
- https://billing.onyxinteractive.org;
- ONI-operated hosting and server-control panels;
- ONI dashboards and customer portals; and
- other ONI webpages or applications that link to this Policy.
Third-party websites and platforms—including Discord, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, game publishers, payment processors, and partner communities—control their own cookies and similar technologies. Their practices are governed by their own policies, even when ONI links to them.
3. ONI’s Current Cookie Practices
As of the Last Updated date, ONI does not intentionally use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral tracking cookies, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar advertising or third-party analytics trackers on the main ONI website.
The main website and its supporting infrastructure may use strictly necessary technologies or create technical records required to:
- load and display the website;
- route traffic and balance network load;
- maintain security and prevent malicious activity;
- operate forms and requested features;
- identify and resolve errors; and
- protect ONI, its infrastructure, and its visitors.
The billing portal, hosting control systems, and authenticated dashboards may use session, authentication, security, and preference technologies necessary to sign users in, keep accounts secure, process requests, and provide customer-selected features.
4. Categories of Cookies and Similar Technologies
| Category | Purpose | ONI’s Current Use | | --- | --- | --- | | Strictly Necessary | Operate pages and forms, maintain sessions, authenticate users, route traffic, prevent fraud or abuse, protect accounts, and provide requested Services. | Used or may be used where necessary by the website, Base44-supported application infrastructure, Cloudflare, the billing portal, and ONI-operated hosting systems. | | Functional or Preference | Remember a setting or selection requested by the user, such as interface or session preferences. | May be used when a feature requires it. ONI does not use this category for targeted advertising. | | Analytics or Performance | Measure visits, navigation, feature use, errors, or performance over time. | ONI does not currently install third-party analytics trackers on the main website. Essential error, security, and infrastructure logs may still be created. | | Advertising or Targeting | Build advertising profiles, follow users across unrelated services, or deliver targeted advertising. | Not used by ONI. ONI does not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. | | Third-Party Media or Platform | Support embedded media, social features, payment functions, or connections to an outside platform. | May be used only when a third-party feature is added or activated. External links alone are governed by the destination site after you visit it. |
5. Strictly Necessary Technologies
Strictly necessary technologies are essential to provide a Service or feature you request. Depending on the Service, they may be used for:
- account login and authentication;
- session management;
- security tokens and request validation;
- fraud, abuse, bot, and attack prevention;
- traffic routing and content delivery;
- billing-cart or checkout functionality;
- server-panel, dashboard, and customer-portal access;
- saving a privacy or cookie selection; and
- restoring a requested page or feature during the same session.
Because these technologies are required for requested functionality, ONI may use them without an opt-in choice where applicable law permits. Blocking them may prevent the website, billing portal, dashboard, or hosting controls from working properly.
6. Website and Infrastructure Providers
ONI’s website is supported by application and infrastructure services that may include Base44 and Cloudflare. These providers may process IP addresses, device or browser information, security signals, request details, and essential identifiers to deliver content, protect the Services, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability.
ONI’s billing and hosting Services may also use ONI-operated systems such as Paymenter and Pterodactyl, along with payment, infrastructure, and network providers. These systems may use session, authentication, anti-forgery, security, or preference technologies when you create an account, sign in, purchase a Service, or operate a hosted server.
Provider-controlled cookie names and durations may change when security, platform, or software updates are deployed. ONI does not use provider access as permission to sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
7. Cookie Duration
Cookies and similar technologies may be either:
- Session-based: removed or made inactive when the browser or session ends; or
- Persistent: retained for a defined period or until you delete them.
The duration depends on the purpose and the system that sets the technology. ONI seeks to retain identifiers only for as long as reasonably necessary for their stated purpose. Security, authentication, consent-preference, and platform cookies may use provider-defined durations needed to perform their function.
8. Consent and Cookie Controls
Because ONI currently limits the main website to essential technologies and does not intentionally install advertising or third-party analytics trackers, the website may not display a cookie-consent banner in every location.
If ONI later introduces nonessential analytics, advertising, personalization, or third-party tracking technologies, ONI will update this Policy and provide notice, consent choices, or opt-out controls before activating those technologies where required by applicable law.
Rejecting nonessential cookies will not prevent ONI from using strictly necessary technologies required to provide a Service, maintain security, remember your privacy choice, or complete an action you request.
9. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Most browsers allow you to review, block, or delete cookies through their privacy or security settings. Browser controls may allow you to:
- view stored cookies and site data;
- delete cookies for a specific website;
- block all cookies or only third-party cookies;
- clear local or session storage; and
- configure when cookies are accepted.
Your browser’s help documentation explains the controls available in your browser and version. If you delete cookies, certain preferences may be lost. If you block strictly necessary cookies or storage, account login, forms, billing, dashboards, and other Services may not function properly.
10. Third-Party Websites, Media, and Services
ONI may link to Discord, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, payment providers, game publishers, creator pages, partners, or other third-party services. When you follow an external link, the destination service may set its own cookies, collect usage information, or associate your visit with an existing account.
If ONI later embeds third-party media or interactive content directly into an ONI page, the provider may receive technical information or place cookies when the content loads or when you interact with it. Where required, ONI will delay nonessential third-party technologies until the appropriate choice or consent is obtained.
ONI does not control third-party cookies. Review the destination service’s privacy and cookie policies and use its privacy settings to manage its technologies.
11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers and extensions send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Because ONI does not currently sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use advertising cookies, ONI does not offer a separate advertising-cookie opt-out at this time.
Where applicable law requires ONI to recognize a valid browser-based opt-out signal, ONI will honor that signal as required. A signal does not disable strictly necessary technologies used to provide requested Services or protect security.
12. Information Generated Through Cookies
Information produced through cookies or similar technologies may include an IP address, browser or device type, session or account identifier, requested page, access date and time, security event, referral information, error information, or activity within an authenticated Service.
ONI uses and protects this information as described in the Privacy Policy. ONI may disclose it to infrastructure, security, payment, and service providers as reasonably necessary to operate and protect the Services, or when required by law.
13. Children and Teen Users
ONI’s Services are not directed to children under 13, and ONI does not knowingly use cookies or similar technologies to track children under 13. Anyone under 13 may not create an ONI account, submit an application, join an ONI-managed community, or otherwise use the Services.
ONI does not use advertising cookies or targeted advertising technologies for teen users. Additional information about age requirements and minor users appears in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
14. Changes to This Cookie Policy
ONI may update this Cookie Policy when its websites, providers, technologies, legal obligations, or data practices change. The updated Policy will identify the new “Last Updated” date.
If ONI makes a material change—particularly if ONI introduces a new category of nonessential cookies or tracking—we will provide reasonable notice and any consent or opt-out controls required by applicable law.
